Hello from NYC! Today begins a series of posts from my trip to Park City, Utah. Since I’ve returned and even before I left, a lot of people have asked me why I chose to go to Utah for vacation. Other than the fact that Utah is a state that I had yet to visit on my 50 state tour, I wanted to vacate somewhere that would be completely different from my current surroundings. I wanted to hike, drive, explore, and meet people different from myself…so that’s what I did!
Additionally, there is a resort that I have always wanted to visit that happens to be located in Deer Valley, Utah. Montage Deer Valley, constructed in 2010, is the most recent addition to the Montage collection of resorts. In a former life, I worked with the Montage Deer Valley but never had the opportunity to visit the property. Everything from the stunning views of Park City to the mountain lodge-inspired decor made me want to throw on my softest sweater, curl up in an oversized chair in the lobby and sip hot chocolate. It didn’t matter that it was 60 degrees outside at the time.
I was lucky enough to have a behind-the-scenes tour of the entire property, minus the guest rooms as the resort was completely booked. I fell in love with the 35,000 square foot Spa Montage – complete with gorgeous private treatment rooms featuring giant soaking tubs, an indoor mosaic pool, sauna and much more. Rates at Montage Deer Valley start as low as $240 per night during the off-season but can get as high as $1100+ during ski season and the summertime. Although a stay at Montage Deer Valley can cost a pretty penny, 24-hour service, the largest spa in Utah, four on-property restaurants and high-end shops within the resort ensure that guests get a ton of bang for their buck. Take a look at my pictures below? I’m dying to go back in the wintertime! Have you been to the other Montage properties in Laguna Beach or Beverly Hills? Talk to me!
We are glad that you enjoyed your visit to Park City, Utah! Nice blog post!
